IS LAURUS TECHNICAL INSTITUTE ACCREDITED?

Yes, Laurus Technical Institute is accredited by Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), approved by Georgia's Non-public Postsecondary Education Commission, and authorized by the U.S. Department of Education to offer Title IV financial aid.

WHAT IF I NEED A JOB WHILE ATTENDING SCHOOL?

Many students work part time while attending school to help them cover expenses and remain on track to complete his/her education. If a student needs assistance finding a part-time job while in school, contact the Career Services Department. They may have a list of part-time jobs that are available. However, typically part-time jobs are not related to the student's field of study.

IS TUTORING AVAILABLE?

Yes, daily tutoring is available Monday through Thursday from 2:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for daytime students and from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for evening students. Prior notice is required 24 hours in advance to guarantee that the instructor is scheduled for the tutoring session. No extra charges are incurred for student's use of tutoring.

WILL MY CREDIT TRANSFER TO ANOTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION?

Transfer of credits to another institution is at the sole discretion of the receiving institution. Laurus Technical Institute does not guarantee the transferability of credits to another institution other than Laurus Technical Institute. It is unlikely that any credits earned at Laurus Technical Institute will be transferrable to or accepted by other institutions.

Students that are considering continuing their education at, or transferring to, another institution must not assume that credits earned at Laurus Technical Institute will be accepted by the receiving institution. An institution's accreditation does not guarantee that transfer credits will be accepted by the other institution. Students should contact the registrar of the other institution to determine what Laurus Technical Institute credits the other institution will accept.
